Internal Medicine Diagnostic Services
Many veterinarians refer patients to us for Internal Medicine Diagnostics, but remember that we are NOT an Intensive Care Facility. Pets that are ill enough to require round-the-clock monitoring and care need to be referred to a veterinary facility with an ICU. Remember also that Dr. Blount sees only dogs and cats.

Laboratory Services
This is a list of tests that we perform inside our building. Hundreds of others are available to us by sending samples to and/or ordering supplies from other labs or suppliers.
Hematology Services (in house):
- Transfusion products available at all times (fresh blood, frozen plasma, oxyglobin, hetastarch).
- Blood typing for dogs and cats.
Clinical Pathology Services (in house):
- Cytology (expert consults available)
- Complete Blood Count
- Complete Serology including fructosamine for Diabetic Monitoring
- Complete Urinalysis Including sediment
- Activated Clotting Time and Buccal Mucosal Bleeding Time
